Brad Friedel's confident vote to Harry Kane

Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel has given an outstanding vote of confidence to striker Harry Kane by calling him as one of the best players he has played with.

This comes as a major plaudits for the young England under 21 international, who has come through the ranks at the club. Friedel has played with some of the best players in the world during his time at the likes of Everton and Tottenham. He is also one of the experienced goalkeepers at international level after having represented the USA in close to 100 appearances before retiring in 2005.

Pearson remains hopeful about Squad

Friedel Expects Club To Play Aggressively

Brad Friedel signs new Spurs contract

Tottenham Hotspur have retained the services of veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel by signing him on to a new one year contract extension as well as handing him an ambassadorial role at the club which will see him promote Spurs in his homeland at the United States of America.

The former United States National Men’s Team or USMNT goalkeeper was out of contract in the summer but Spurs have decided to retain his services by a further one year as back up for Frenchman Hugo Lloris.

Friedel Praises Sherwoods Achievements

Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel has stated that outgoing manager Tim Sherwood can be proud of his achievements within the club. Sherwood was sacked from the managerial role after failing to get the club into the top four of the Premier league. However, he leaves the club with the best record ever from Tottenham manager with a win rate of more than 50%. Sherwood did a great job to stabilise the club after they had just parted company with Andre Villas-Boas midway through the season.

American goalkeeper Brad Friedel, who has been as one of the best footballers produced by the nation in the last two decades, says that the two managers of Tottenham – Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood cannot be compared with each other. Andre Villas-Boas was the manager of the club for just over a year before he was ultimately replaced by Sherwood due to a poor run of results. Tottenham started the season strongly with a number of new players.

Friedel Believes That Spurs Would Finish In The Top Four

Brad Friedel the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper believes that they could make it to the top four by the end of the season. Brad Friedel has said that he would love to become a coach once his playing days are over.

Friedel is one of the oldest players going around in the professional football arena at the moment. He is in his forties and is still quite fit. He is no longer in favour at Tottenham though and he is definitely not too far away from playing his last professional match, but, it seems his love for the game would keep him associated with it even after the retirement.

CLEAN SHEET

Brad Friedel’s latest appearance for Tottenham saw him maintaining a clean sheet throughout the entire match they played against Tromsø in the Europa League as they overcame their opponents with a final score of 2-0.

Hugo Lloris’ most recent performances has not seen him being at his very best and this may be after the demoralizing match against Manchester City some weeks ago as they lost 6-0 against the team of Manuel Pellegrini.
